Regarding the finish I use on any wood surface:

It is maintenance free. That means it won’t water spot, yellow over time, or deteriorate on contact with alcohol. The paper elements of my work are all backed buy a plastic of some kind, flexible or rigid as appropriate to the design. It will not puncture or tear. All paper is coated with multiple coats of a custom blended sealer. To measure stain resistance, we let red wine dry on white paper; it wipes away clean every time. If a paper surface becomes grimy or dusty, a light washing with a sponge and soapy water will restore it, then dry with a kitchen towel. This work is both elegant and durable. When you bring it into your home, you can enjoy it for a lifetime.
